Much of Prins’ favorite music originated in Brazil, and his idea was to present Brazilian music with a jazzman’s taste.
From Bossa Nova to Samba, from Antonio Carlos Jobim to Milton Nascimento, Ivan Lins, Tania Maria and Caetano Veloso, and including jazz repertoire as well as originals, Prins, supported by his Belgian all-stars rhythm section Bart Denolf and maestro Bruno Castellucci, with Dutch piano virtuoso Jasper Soffers as a guest, will generate joyful energy, deep grooves, and lyrical ballads.
Le guitariste de jazz Belge Jeanfrançois Prins (de retour à Bruxelles, après Berlin et NYC) a joué partout en Europe, les Amériques et même en Asie. Exposé à autant de styles et d'influences, et inspiré par les musiciens qu'il rencontre et avec qui il travaille, il a créé un nouveau thème: "Rio de Jazzeiro". Une grande partie de la musique préférée de Prins est originaire du Brésil, et son idée était de présenter la musique brésilienne vue par un jazzman.
De la Bossa Nova à la Samba, d'Antonio Carlos Jobim à Milton Nascimento, Ivan Lins, Tania Maria et Caetano Veloso, et y joignant des standards ainsi que des originaux, Prins, soutenu par sa section rythmique Belgian all-stars Bart Denolf et maestro Bruno Castellucci, avec le pianiste virtuose néerlandais Jasper Soffers comme invité, va partager des tempos endiablés, des solides grooves, et des ballades lyriques.
